Hi Jeff (and all)
I have a business manufacturing and selling table linens and other small gifty items. Sales have historically been heavily dependent on trade shows, at which attendance has steadily been dropping. The expense of doing shows keeps going up, and buyers are getting younger and more inclined to use the internet, rather than spend the time and $ to attend shows. I want to find out if I can make use of social media to sell my products. I HATE going to trade shows!
Secondly, I want to figure out how to defensively participate in some social media--I have a facebook account, and a list of people who want to friend me, but I don't want to open Pandora's box, since I'm not interested in most of them. Also. I need help in getting over the creepy feeling of being a voyeur if I look at someone's page--(like my adult children and their friends)I feel like I'm an uninvited guest, but I can't help but look!
I'd like to know something positive about Twitter--it seems so silly.
I'd like to talk about LinkedIn and how to make better use of it.
That's about it for me. I'm really looking forward to it.
